Traveling is one of my favorite ways to rewild. It gives me the opportunity to quiet the noise of our fast-paced culture, value experiences over materials, learn about God + His creation, & even invest in my longterm health. Did you know that traveling increases the diversity of your gut microbiome? Gut health is the catalyst for a healthy mind + body, and diversity is key for a healthy gut. When we travel to new places, we are essentially exposing our body to new ecosystems. When we stick our bare feet in the dirt, surf a wave in the ocean, or simply breathe the crisp morning air, we absorb hundreds of species that increase the diversity in our guts that has been lost to antibiotics, pesticides, processed foods, and more. While I have traveled throughout the world over my lifetime, I choose wisely what places I share here. These are the places closest to my heart that have expanded my love for God, nature, & a life of simplicity.
